The Robotics Center (CRob) at USP aims to promote the integration of existing efforts in this area of research, initially at the São Carlos campus. The CRob aims at consolidating and expanding both the available physical space and the research carried out by the various associated groups. This initiative also seeks to increase the efficiency in the use of resources already available and the acquisition of new equipment, which allows the strengthening of research in development, especially those aimed at the industry. Together with the Institute of Sciences of Mathematics and Computation – ICMC and the School of Engineering of São Carlos – EESC, CRob follows five lines of research: navigation of mobile robots and land vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotic manipulation and multi-robotic system Based on teleoperated and autonomous mobile robots for tasks of monitoring, surveillance and actuation in critical situations and social robotics.
